FAQs
- You can purchase individual classes online or at a studio. We also offer a variety of unlimited packages for anyone who wants to come more often. You manage your own account online. You get to reserve for the week ahead (new schedule posts on Sundays at 8 a.m.), and you get to select your individual spot. We are always here to support you if you run into a speed bump.
- Yes – especially for newcomers! For your first class, please arrive at least 15 minutes early, so we can show you around the studio, get you all set, and introduce you to the instructor. For all other classes, please arrive at least 10 minutes early to get yourself settled. Pro tip: we start our classes on time and you must be checked-in at the official start of class or risk losing your spot. If a class is NOT sold-out, there will be a 5-minute grace period. After 5-minutes, you will not be allowed to enter the studio. This is both for your safety and the enjoyment and focus of everyone else. In cycle classes, we also encourage you to stay during arm work and cool down. Even if you don’t participate, it disrupts the experience of everyone else if you leave early.
- Do I need special shoes? We suggest wearing comfortable, breathable clothing such as a tank top, t-shirt, leggings, and shorts. Although a few of our bikes can accommodate LOOK pedal clips, we recommend cycling shoes with SPD clips for a smoother, more efficient ride. Cycling shoes are available for loan or purchase at the studio. If you are new to cycling, sneakers may be worn, but make sure to reserve a bike that does not specify “clip only,” when booking your spot. You will need to wear sneakers for all strength classes.
- We recommend bringing a water bottle. Hydration is key! We have a water bottle filling station in every studio, and we sell bottled water. We provide you with a towel, because you will definitely sweat.
- To receive a class credit for a canceled reservation, you must cancel your class 12 hours before the start time of a class. Once you cancel a class, it is returned to your account to be used for a future date. Classes not canceled 12 hours in advance will be charged a typical class fee and no refunds or credits will be issued. Special event registrations may be canceled, but you will not receive a credit to take another class or to participate in another special event once canceled. For ALL unlimited package holders, you will be charged a $25 fee for all classes not canceled 12 hours prior to the start of a class.
- If the class you want to attend is sold-out, please put yourself on the waitlist! If there are cancellations up until two hours before your desired class, you will be automatically added to the class. If a spot becomes available within two hours of the start of a class, we will NOT automatically enroll you. We will call our waitlist and enroll you only if you confirm. Within the two hour window, it is a first-come, first-serve policy. Pro tip: we also accept walk-ins. Your best bet is to SHOW UP, because there can be last minute no-shows. If you do not get into a class off the waitlist, your class credit will be returned to your account to be used at another time. We do not issue cash refunds.
- If you call the studio to cancel your class 30 minutes prior to the start of the class, we will allow you to take another class within the same day for no charge! However, if you are a ‘no show’ or if it is within 30 minutes of the start time, you will lose the class for which you were signed up.
- All class sales are final. No refunds for cash or credit will be provided after the purchase of a class or a package. If you choose not to continue with amp studio, you are not eligible for a refund. If you feel you will not be able to complete a package, you may want to choose one of our smaller packages. Sales of Unlimited Memberships are final, except as provided in the terms of any Unlimited Membership Contract. All merchandise sales are final. Refunds for merchandise will only be provided in the form of a store credit or exchange. No refunds for cash.
- Our package extension policy allows for a 30-day extension for a $25 fee. If you need to extend your package due to a medical reason, we can happily accommodate you! Please note, for medical extensions, a doctor’s note is required.
- In addition to cycling, we offer next-level strength classes. We also offer classes which combine cycling and strength training.
- Yes, we have showers at all of our locations! At this time, we do not offer childcare.
- Riders must be at least 13 years of age and a minimum height of 4’11” to take a class at amp studio. In addition, all minors under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian on file prior to taking a class. You can print and sign our waiver in advance directly from the amp studio website. Otherwise, please arrive at a studio 15 minutes before your first class to give yourself time to fill out the waiver and get properly set-up on your bike.
- Yes, we sure do, but we call them amp cards! amp cards never expire, and the recipient can use their amp card to purchase classes or merchandise. Once a class is purchased using a gift card, the class has a shelf life for you to use, just like any other class that you buy. You may not redeem your amp card for cash and you cannot transfer it to another customer.
- We will very rarely cancel classes or close the studio. But if we must, we will try and give you as much notice as possible! Please check our website schedule and Instagram for studio updates.
